What are the common faults of the electronic control system in a scissor platform, and how can they be solved?
The electronic control system is crucial in the operation of a scissor platform, and faults in this system can result in the vehicle not moving. Here are some common faults in the electronic control system of a scissor platform:
- Circuit board power supply is damaged: This fault cannot be repaired on site and requires the replacement of the controller. A spare controller can be used for a replacement test if available. If not, the faulty part can be returned to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. The damage to the power supply may be caused by an external short circuit or insufficient design of the controller circuit protection, reverse connection protection, and EMC protection design.
- Digital tube on the circuit board is damaged: Digital tube damage is indicated by the display of 8.8 on the controller. If the scissor platform can still be operated, then the display module is damaged and can be replaced. If the scissor platform cannot be operated, then the circuit board may have some burnt-out or short-circuited devices that need to be replaced.
- Circuit board communication failure: Communication failure caused by circuit boards can be restored by replacing the burnt-out communication chip. If the entire circuit board is damaged, then it needs to be replaced. Communication line burnout or chip burnout is usually caused by external violent use and poor anti-interference ability. The controller needs to have good circuit design in terms of anti-reverse connection, anti-surge, EMC protection, and hot swapping.
- Switch signal detection failure: Switch signals are input signals, and their failure can lead to a malfunction of the platform's functions. For instance, if the shaking head switch signal is not detected, it will affect the lower control lifting function. If the limit switch cannot detect, it will indicate an error state, such as the lifting cannot be stopped or the anti-pinch function is invalid. A damaged upper control button will lead to a failure of a specific function, such as the inability to switch between high and low speeds.
In summary, some common faults in the electronic control system of a scissor platform are the circuit board power supply being damaged, digital tube on the circuit board being damaged, circuit board communication failure, and switch signal detection failure. These faults can be resolved by replacing damaged components, and the controller needs to have good circuit design to prevent such issues from occurring.
